Inflatable object

Blow-up Mouse

The Jelly Click takes mouse portability to the extreme. All the electronic circuity lives on a small flexible board. The body itself is just soft plastic. Whenever you need a mouse, blow up the Jelly Click, attach the USB cable and you’re good to go. As a bonus, it’s a total floaty for you swimming challenged people.

Morning Pages

In the book The Artist's Way, the first activity which Julia Cameron prescribes for Creatives is Morning Pages for personal and creative growth.

Morning Pages are 3 pages written longhand, stream of consciousness, and are meant to clear your mind for the day. Do them as soon as you wake up, before you do anything else.

"3 PAGES!?!!?" you might gasp, "I'll NEVER have time for that!"

Oh but yes you will! You'd be surprised how fast you can write. I've gotten mine down to about 12 minutes.

Don't think about what you're writing, just write out what's in your head. It doesn't even have to be sentences, just words, ideas, quotes. The point of Morning Pages is not to create beautiful poetic prose, you're just letting your brain poop out anything that you don't need. Basically it's like taking a shower in the moring. You may not be visibly dirty, but you will feel very refreshed after a shower, just as your brain may not seem clogged, but you will feel revitalized.

When doing your Morning Pages, you will find that you can think through ideas which have been floating just out of reach and you will be able to sort out issues which may have been lurking below the surface of your subconscious. They're awesome.

Once you've done Morning Pages for a few days, you will find that you're inner child is no longer resisting, and that you will come to a point where you want to do your Morning Pages.

Yes. It WILL happen.

Also, from my own personal experience, I found that since doing Morning Pages, I have started dreaming again and remembering my dreams. AMAZING!

So kids, get yourself a giant cheap notebook, and get out there and do some Morning Pages!

How to Fool Everyone and Make it Big

In this TED talk, Daniel Libeskind shows us how to bullshit and talk in circles to fool everyone into thinking that his unusable buildings are worth it. How does he go on talking about taking risks and not doing the same building over and over while showing images of all the 'different' buildings he's done which all look exactly the same as the last? Watch the video and find out. Learn from Daniel Libeskind and you too can bullshit your way to success!

The Physical Act of Creation

Not an industrial designer, but rather a graphic one, Jason Little shares some words on the creative process. He goes on about the creative mind, creative space and creative leadership. I particularly liked this bit on visualizing your own ideas:

"I often ask my designers if they can imagine their work in a book, in an awards annual or in a blog that they would bookmark as inspiration. If the work doesn’t fit this description, then I tell them to push their divergent thinking. It’s amazing how simple yet productive this question is."

100 Ways To Develop Your Brain

Hi guys

I remembered something I used to do when I was younger, it's a small thing that makes a big impact.
I used to do something out of my routine everyday, like showering in the dark or writing with my left hand (I'm a righty).
It makes you re-think obvious things you're doing, how amazing it is to be able to put down on paper couple of lines that we recognize as a sound :)

If you want some ideas here is a good place to browse and pick:
