If you're in industrial design you might have already heard of these things; miniature helicopters with 4 horizontal blades as opposed to one big one and another smaller vertical stabilizing blade. They are capable of extremely agile and precise maneuvers, but using them to play a game of ping pong was chump change compared to what they can do now.
With the help of 3D software these quadrotors can be programmed to move in formation with extreme precision. By mapping trajectory in 3D they can be given commands to follow without interfering with any of it's fellow quadrotors.
You can see exactly what they are capable of in the following links. I have a feeling this is going to be a hot little product for the military. With potential for surveillance, reconnaissance and who knows what could happen if they make one large enough to fit a pilot. Time will tell, enjoy these.
