"[Helen] Storey wants to enlist our clothing in the fight against industrial and vehicle pollution."

"A photocatalyst on the surface of the fabric breaks down airborne pollutants when it’s exposed to light, resolving them into harmless chemicals that slough off in the wash."

Without quoting the entire article, multidisciplinary university professors came together and found a way to use fashion and science to improve the air around us.

Catalytic Clothing

Catalytic Clothing is a  new technological innovation that breaks the boundaries and  limitations of traditional function of clothing, by giving it a new meaning of air purifying.

Links below describe technological innovation behind nano molecules and Photocatalysts and their scientific use as well as application in design and fashion.

I accidentally came across Catalytic Clothing, while searching something else on the internet, and wanted to share it wit others because it could’ve been a great help and inspiration for Air Freshener project ( 3rd year Industrial Design, first semester).

There are no limitations to technology, EXPLORE IT!
