Hey Guys,
I came across this lecture when researching design synthesis. It's something that I certainly have trouble with as I want to make the logical jump to problem solving immediately. Hopefully the techniques outlined here, reframing and abduction, will help everyone break that cognitive bond we have and aid in that magical little thing called insight in both our current headset project and future projects!

Nissan Land Glider!!!!!!
Hi again, this is the coolest car ever! This car is one of Nissan's concept cars. Basically, the car shifts it's center of gravity as it corners. This reduces the amount of Gs that people feel when an ordinary car turns. I think its a really nice addition to cars since it will provide a very smooth ride and might even eliminate motion sickness!
Paper Shapers
Hey guys i recently came across a video featuring artists who have a passion for paper. It is an interesting medium in which we do not normally explore and use to create 3d forms.Check if out for those who have not seen it already, it might give you guys some inspiration on your next projects.
bodystorming
Bodystorming is a great tool for designing. In essence you're role playing. As a designer it's important to understand what people are or could potentially be experiencing. Since we want to improve and add to the quality of life for others and ourselves, being interactive adds to our empathy. Here's a video that a company (I think) posted on vimeo for bdystorming housework by an elderly person in a liftchair. I think this is a good example of bodystorming and exploration.

Objectified is a feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them. It’s a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability.
