Amazon has recently purchased Kiva Systems, the makers of the warehouse robots. This will help Amazon as they currently use human pickers to fulfill orders but it has become inefficient as they would have to miles around the massive warehouse to find items for shipment. Instead the Kiva robots will do all the walking from now on, they will bring the merchandise to designated stations where people will grab the items needed to be shipped.

It would be cool if they could get things off the top shelves in warehouses like a fork lift. there'd be no need for warehouse workers anymore!
