Houses made out of wheat! Wow!

In the next 20 years, it is projected that the Chinese will require 200 million more earthquake resistant houses. The problem here is that there are definitely not enough trees to build all of those houses.

The Alberta Research Council in Edmonton has developed a new technology uses wheat straw, the waste from wheat grain production, to make a plywood substitute called Oriented Split Straw Board or OSSB.
