An interesting website about the robotics trend taking place around the world.
Also reminds me of a documentary I once watched about the leading proponents of this trend: Japan. It explained that part of the motivation behind the country's huge investment in further developing robotic technology was for the purpose of replacing the generation of young japanese people that just aren't being born. In short, the Japanese aren't having enough babies! They recognize that they have a real problem on their hands: an aging population that will soon retire, leaving a shortage in the labour workforce. Introducing robots into every facet of their lives - from work to home - has become an interesting challenge for a culture that, as a result, has made some of the most significant advancements in technology to become a leader of this growing trend.
